I've always know that my purpose in life was to use music to inspire and uplift people. As the son of Mexican immigrants, I've seen the way music can unite cultures, even during the darkest of times. On 2019 this took a whole other meaning for me when I witnessed my father's deportation. I was lost, confused and disillusioned with the reality I was facing. I was conflicted between choosing to continue my musical journey, or put all my dreams and aspirations on hold in order to support my broken family. This is when I realized that these two things are not mutually exclusive. Music is simply my lifeline, and no matter what, it will always be a part of who I am.
Now in 2020, after a long grueling year dealing with my father's absence, I managed to find myself cowriting a five track EP with talented producers Caleb Turman, and Austin Bello from celebrated punk band Forever The Sickest Kids. This string of songs are all true stories from the deepest parts of my heart. Through these stories I share topics such as, reconciling with my father's legal issues and how it affected my every day life, to the romantic frustrations I was facing while living through these uncertain times. On February of 2020, such songs caught the attention of U.K record label Saint In The City Records, which ultimately offered me my first ever record deal.
With a team now backing me up, and a whole new string of songs in the bag, the record label and I have managed to be playlisted on KXT Texas, Idobi Radio, ALT 103.7 and XS Manchester radio. This partnership has also resulted in having my work featured on site such as: Tastemakers on ALT Press, XS Noize, Central Track and Stereoboard. As I navigate this crazy roller coaster called life, my goal is to create and share music that can give people the strength they need in order to continue their journey.
